Bundled Up

In about 1990 when Uncle R was a little tike we managed to drive all the way from North Queensland down to Sydney to visit my Dad, about 2000 kilometres or 1300 miles. We had to really watch our pennies back then. As a result, Uncle R got to wear his big sisters' hand me downs. So here he is in his pink and white flanny pj's in the Sydney winter. The blanket is his Grandad's lovely mohair blanket.

  1. my poor brother, being the fourth after three sisters, wore A LOT of girls clothes to bed and around the house. Probably until he was about 12, when he started to cotton on.

  2. Oh My Goodness, I never realised that is the same blanket that I have now! I think it was a sort of 18th birthday gift from Grandad when he came up for Kath's wedding. It is the most wonderful blanket and being the mean mummy I am I wont let my kids touch it. I have been known to sleep with it wrapped around my sock covered feet in winter but end up cuddling it because it's so nice and cuddly.

  3. OMGosh! How funny that he is wearing pink! (bet he loves you for posting this picture. LOL)
very cute! there is something so cute about kids sleeping. So peacful :)

    Thanks for playing along today.

  4. What a great picture! It's pink too! Happy Sunday!!!

  5. Look at that peaceful sweet face! Precious!
